I feel like I’m due for a re-read because it’s been a while but I loved the exploration of dual-couple adult friendships, loved the academia angst, and appreciated how slowly it moved. At the same time, the slowness worked against itself, I think, but that’s an evergreen complaint for books like this. I want to revisit it with a more critical eye. I did enjoy it, though. I like being fully lost in characters’ lives. (Don’t we all)
